It is the truth, soooo many players have held out in this league, and it is absurd. I have to deploy once every year in order for these men to be able to play ball. And they are whining about not making enough money. I don't care about how much production Clemons has brought to this team. The man is 31, and this organization is the team who gave him an opportunity to be an every down player. Why would you reward a player for holding out, by giving in to him with a brand new shiny contract. You wouldn't, bottom line end of story. I understand that the world revolves around money, however there are ways of going about it. I can't go to my commander and tell him that I am no longer showing up for work until he gives me a new contract. That is not a man, i'm sorry, but it's just pathetic. he has proven that he is valuable, and watched s a unproven guy get 15 mil, he wants his due, as you or I would. Two years with double digit success I would pay the guy and get him for a couple more years unless he is damaged goods.

SO... a few years back, he signed a deal that would pay him millions. At the time, it was a fair deal based on the mutual agreement that he would play well and earn the MILLIONS he is being paid. He ends up getting 11 sacks instead of say 8... and now he wants to hold out. All integrity is gone brother Clemens. PS.... I didnt ask the seahawks for my money back on my tickets when they lost 9 games last year... its a fair contract, live with it. We pay him and he gets 5 sacks this year, then what? will he pay us back? The only thing I would consider as the owner is a bonus clause of $500,000 for every sack over 10 sacks... thats fair.
